Guide Review - Review of Old-School Fighter 'Virtua Fighter 2' on iPhone, iPod
Virtua Fighter 2 is as classic as ever, but first thing first: This isn't the pseudo-3D arcade game, but the 2D Sega Genesis version. What you get here is flat, no-frills, one-on-one brawling, and it works really well. Choose from a handful of distinctive characters, from the femme fatale Sarah to the calculated Lau, each with super moves done with the three buttons and virtual onscreen joypad. The visuals are appropriately old-school, but the sound could be a little crisper. It also could use some additional options, like difficulty levels, but the basic game is challenging and fun enough to have a good time.
