Guide Review - Game Review of Arcade Strategy ‘Plants vs. Zombies’ for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Plants vs. Zombies is a smart blend of creepy arcade action and real-time strategy game. It could have been named "Zombies Get Off My Lawn!", as the idea is to use plants to defend your house. The aggressive horticulture is much more dangerous than it sounds: Some plants spit bullets, while others chew up zombies Venus Flytrap style. The zombies, which creep from right to left, are equally colorful, wearing crazy outfits, leaving misspelled threat notes and randomly screeching "Brains!". The learning curve is super fair, as the game spreads what could have been a dozen levels into several dozen, slowly adding more items, more zombies and more twists. It isn't as insanely addictive as Peggle, but they both share a relaxed gameplay perfect for the mobile. Recommended.
