Like me, you may be pining for the awesome Infinity Blade experience on your Android mobile, but Epic Games says it won't be happening anytime soon. In an interview with gaming blog The Slowdown, Epic Games Vice President Jay Wilbur says the vast differences between the Android mobile devices make it difficult to bring the super-cool Unreal Engine, which powers Infinity Blade, to the platform.
Unfortunately, it's the same thing Doom creator John Carmack told me when I interviewed him a while back: There are too many Android devices to account for, since game developers have to make sure that their titles work on all of them. Hopefully Google is listening and will work harder to make it easier to develop games like its competitors Apple and Microsoft.
Thanks to Pocket Gamer UK for the heads-up.
