New Google Android Means Portable Flash Games

From Damon Brown, About.com GuideJuly 3, 2009

The G1 and MyTouch Google Android phones are bringing the gaming, but the newly announced HTC Hero will be bringing the Flash. More specifically, the HTC Hero will be one of the the first smartphones to ship with Flash, the popular Adobe web software that powers thousands of games. What's that mean for us? Android users will be able to play the many (free) web-based games like PopCap's Peggle on the road. Windows Mobile and Nokia's Symbian based phones are currently sporting Flash, too, but it's yet to hit the Apple iPhone and Palm Pre. The HTC Hero comes to Europe next month and to the Americas by year end.

Great article Malcolm! The HTC hero kind of set the pace for flash games on phone. I can’t wait to see what the future of mobile gaming with flash will bring. Can we accelerometer support!? *drools.
